Gas Detection Equipment Rental
For use at the wellsite, NorAm offers for rent the MiniPac series of compact, portable, user-friendly computer based gas detectors. Designed and manufactured for NorAm by Continental Laboratories, Calgary. This instrumentation is specifically designed to be used by wellsite geologists and mudloggers. The Windows based MiniPac 2300 and next generation MiniPac 2500 are proven field instruments designed specifically for oil and gas exploration. They are portable, rugged and come with all the necessary peripherals to provide a complete gas detection service for the user. All data is exportable in both LAS and ASCII format.
The gas detection equipment is 100% computer controlled. There are no external flowraters that require physical adjustment. Four certified calibration gases are used to verify sensor response and to maintained linerarity from 0 to 10000 units. Linear presets are established in-house and before the instrument ships.
All MiniPac models communicate with Pason, Totco, Epoch, Chimo and other penless drilling systems and can be customized to sound alarms for depth, high gas, trap flow, and other variables. Data is viewed both on-screen and by continuous printer.
